Sudan and Leading Rebel Group Commence Peace Negotiations in Juba

South Sudan's President, Salva Kiir, is hosting peace talks between the Sudanese government and the Sudan Popular Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), headed by Abdel-Aziz al-Hilu.

A formal meeting was held on Wednesday, attended by General Abdel-Fattah Burhan, Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, and al-Hilu.

The delegations from both sides are now continuing with closed-door negotiations in Juba, South Sudan's capital, as per the Prime Minister's office
